An Amazing 2015

Posted by shananigans-band on January 13, 2016 at 9:50 AM

What an amazing year we had, It started off in January with our first appearance at the annual Ingersoll Pipe Band's Robbie Burns dinner and dance and we were a hit. In fact we were hired on the spot to return in 2016, Then we stayed busy playing in the pubs until the Men's Tankard in Dorchester in early February we were just one of the many great bands performing each night after the curling championship competition, it was another first for us and it was very cool although the weather we had on our night did cause us to end the show early so everyone could get home safe!

March has always been our biggest month with Paddy's Day being our biggest day of the year, we played 6 gigs this year. I remember when there was a time we only played in March, lol In 2015 we averaged 3 - 6 gigs a month from January to September!

Sharing the stage at the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland games with the Steel City Rovers, Red Hot Chili Pipers and Albannach! in August was definetly the highlight of our summer and great memories and new friendships will last a lifetime.

All in all 2015 was the biggest, best and busiest for the Shananigans since we re-formed in 2008. So far 2016 looks to be another potential record breaker for the Shananigans. Many exciting things happening including our first professionally recorded studio album with originals!!!

Happy New Year everyone!

We hope to see you at show this year, make sure you say hi!

Soldering the rings together also prevents them from rubbing against one another, which may cause excessive wear and tear on the perimeters of the rings. If you decide to have the rings unsoldered in the foreseeable future to be able to resize them or upgrade them, a jeweler should be able to drive them apart again and polish each ring then it seems like new.
