Shananigans Biography

Always energetic and entertaining Shananigans are considered a family friendly crowd pleasing Canadian East Coast band with a sound for all ages and any event!

Based in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, it's current members blend their roots from Ireland, Scotland, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island giving them an amazing and diverse Maritime sound that's been wowing crowds large and small for over a decade!

Since 2008 the Shananigans brand of high energy family friendly entertainment has been in high demand, performing at some of the areas  biggst venues and largest festivals sharing the stage with the Mudmen, John McDermott, the American Roques, George Canyon,  the Red Hot Chili Pipers, Albannach, the Once and Natalie MacMaster as well as many others. Known for their traditional sound with pleasing vocals and soothing harmonies Shananigans still maintain just the right amount of punch!

Shananigans are much more than just another Celtic Rock band. They are a musical experience like no other! The group brings to the stage a wide variety of sites and sounds from traditional folk to classic and contemporary rock and pop music. You never know what to expect at a Shananigans show as they always play to the crowd and their talents allow them the freedom to explore the music that best suites the mood.
